What we collect and why

  • When you contact us: your name, email, phone number, the programme you are interested in and your message. We use this to answer you, arrange an admission interview and manage your application.
  • When you browse our website: which pages you visit, how you found us (for example an ad or a search engine), your device and browser, and your approximate location based on your IP address. We use this to improve our website and to measure our advertising.
  • Marketing emails: we only send them if you have agreed separately, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies for three purposes:

  • Necessary: to remember your cookie choice and protect our forms from spam (Google reCAPTCHA).
  • Analytics: to understand how our website is used (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity).
  • Marketing: to measure our ads and show them to people who have visited our site (Google Ads, Meta), and to remember which ad or website brought you to us.

If you are in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, we only use analytics and marketing cookies with your consent. You can change your choice at any time here: Cookie settings. Everyone can also delete or block cookies in their browser settings.

Videos on our site are played through YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you start a video.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with service providers that help us run our website and admissions:

  • Pipedrive (enquiry management)
  • GoDaddy (website hosting)
  • Google (Analytics, Ads, reCAPTCHA, YouTube)
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads)
  • Microsoft (Clarity)
  • The agencies that maintain our website and marketing

Google, Meta and Microsoft also use some of this data under their own privacy policies.

Where your information is stored

Some of these providers store information outside Canada, mainly in the United States and the European Union. Information stored there is subject to local laws and may be accessed by local authorities. For visitors from Europe, transfers to the United States are protected by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact, unless you enrol. Cookie consent records are kept for 24 months. After that, we delete or anonymize the information.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Email info[at]timberlineacademy.com and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca), or, in Europe or the UK, your local data protection authority.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
